Growing up with dry sensitive, irritated, itchy, inflamed skin, was a constant struggle. No matter what I tried from dermatologist prescriptions, topical solutions, to various lotions, nothing provided lasting relief. I envied friends who could use well-known brands as I wanted to use fragranced products too.

Fast forward years later when an accident changed everything. I cut my hand on a piece of glass and was left with a very dark irritating scar,desperate to find a natural remedy, I turned to shea butter as I was already using it in my hair with great results. I witnessed it’s true power as it faded my scar and soothed my skin like nothing else ever had.

I realized in that moment if Shea butter could do this for my scar, what could it do for the rest of my body and countless others who suffered with various skin issues who longed for relief and the “spa like experience using amazing smelling scents some well known brands offered. My passion to figure it out increased! I started researching and reading about various natural organic butters, plant based, essential oils, and phthalate free scents.

By God’s grace I was invited to a pop-up event. I met a gracious lady in the skincare business who helped point me in the right direction of creating my first body butter, A leap of faith and a dare "Kimberlee's Kitchen now Body Essentials by K LLC was born!
